This fall, Mrs. Hilary Schmidt will be welcomed by students and staff as Whispering Ridge Community School’s (WRCS) newest Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Schmidt has been with Peace Wapiti Public School Division since beginning her career at Harry Balfour School in 2016. In 2017, she joined the inaugural staff of WRCS and has since been working at the school in teaching and administrative roles, only taking time away to grow her family.
Mrs. Schmidt graduated from the Teacher Education North Program through the University of Alberta in 2016. She has recently applied for her Master of Educational Studies with leadership focus and is scheduled to begin this summer.
When asked what she’s most looking forward to in her return to school Mrs. Schmidt says, “I am humbled to return from maternity leave in a role that will allow me to serve the school community that holds a special place in my heart. I am looking forward to building more meaningful relationships with students, staff, and all WRCS families.” She says it truly is the greatest honour to lead in a school environment that values kindness, collaboration, and sets high expectations for all.
